Q. How much weight will I loose?
Ans. The amount of weight you can lose depends on your hard work and determination! We will give you the tools you need to be successful and will work with you to support you in your journey to good health! Whether your goal is to lose 20 pounds or 100 pounds, we will be there as long as you need us, supporting you and cheering you along the way!
Q. Why do I need to see my doctor before joining the LITE program?
Ans. As with any weight loss or exercise program, it is important to consult with your physician as he/or she is the one who knows your medical history extensively and can determine if it is safe for you to proceed with a particular fitness or nutritional program.
Q. How do weekly phone consultations work?
Ans. You and your RN L.I.T.E. coach will set up a time that is convenient for you. You will be called at established appointment time to discuss the topic appropriate for you. Your RN coach will assess if you are working effectively toward your goals. This will be special time set aside for you to talk about your progress, ask questions, and receive important information.
Q. How was the LITE program developed?
Ans. The L.I.T.E program was developed by RN’s who saw that there is a growing problem of obesity in our country. Of those who are obese, the majority have diseases that could have been prevented and in most cases can be improved with diet and exercise. As RN’s we understand that programs are not a “one size fits all”. Everyone’s specific condition must be taken into account. It is not just about losing weight to look good. It is about losing weight to live
Q. What are the advantages of choosing the LITE program?
Ans. You have your own RN as your weight loss coach! Your coach is a licensed medical professional who will educate you on your specific health condition(s) and will be there for you when you have questions about your health. We not only want you to look and feel better, we want you to understand what is occurring in your body as it relates to your health.
Q. What are the days/hours of operation?
Ans. L.I.T.E. Therapeutics understands your busy schedules, so we are willing to work with you to establish times that are convenient for you to be able to participate in your chosen program. We will make every attempt to accommodate your preferences.
Q. What does the word LITE stand for ?
Ans. L.I.T.E. stands for Losing Inches Through Education. We believe that if you know better, you will do better. If you can understand what is going on in your body, you will understand what you can do to make yourself healthier. Why wouldn’t you want to live longer and be healthier?
Q. Why cant i just use my doctor?
Ans. First, We make no attempt to replace your doctor. Your doctor is in charge of your medical care. We are part of the same team whos goal is good health. Our focus is on your knowlede and behavior rather than medince. If you look at health as continuum line with premature death to the far left, optimal health to the far right and the absence of illness in the middle, Medicine traditionally focuses attention to helping people with symptoms and signs of disease(far left) once a patient has reached the midpoint of the line, treatment is then complete and the person usually no longer receives any more services until sick again. Wellness is not simply the lack of a disease or absence of illness. Our focus will be on the far right of the line, providing you the knowledge and helping with your attitudes and health behviors leading to high levels of wellness or optimal health.
Q. What is a Health Coach ?
Ans. Our health coaches are RN's that will help you find within yourself the motivation needed to initiate, sustain and maintain healthly change in your life. We understand that if you could have implemented any of these changes all by yourself you probably would have already- We will offer you the support you need!
